I'm not trying to illustrate a point or a position. I have nothing in particular to say … When I work I feel like I'm fumbling around for something and I just get my fingers on it for a second.
Gagosian is pleased to announce "Forty Four Drawings," an exhibition of new works by Joe Bradley at Eden Rock in St. Barths. The show features forty-four charcoal and graphite drawings, all in yellow frames.
Joe Bradley was born in 1975 in Kittery, Maine and lives and works in New York City. He received his BFA in 1999 from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in Providence. His work is featured in the collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; The Saatchi Gallery, London; Hall Art Foundation, Reading, Vermont; De la Cruz Collection, Miami; and Museum of Modern Art, New York. Recent solo institutional exhibitions include MoMA PS1, Long Island City, New York (2006); Le Consortium, Dijon, France (2014); and BOZAR, Brussels (2016–17).
